What is Ezvid?

Ezvid is the best freeware video and slideshow maker for Windows 7, XP, and Vista. It’s the world’s easiest video maker for PC — you can make a finished video or slideshow in less than five minutes. Ezvid can import still images and video, and can upload finished videos to YouTube. No registration is required to download or use. Free soundtrack music is included.

Designed from the ground up to be the most easy and user-friendly video and slideshow creator ever, Ezvid is perfect for users of all ages. With one click of the “add media” button, users can select from videos and pictures on their computer, and Ezvid automatically adds these items to its timeline. Next, users can click the “add text” button to add unlimited text slides, in a variety of fun fonts and colors.

Ezvid’s audio capabilities are excellent. Included with the software are twenty free soundtracks which are guaranteed to be YouTube legal, and users can record their voice through their computer microphone along with the video.

Is Ezvid free?

Yes, Ezvid is completely free!

What image and video file formats are supported?

We support most major image formats, including PNG, JPEG, and BMP. Most video formats should also import well, like MOV and WMV. Any file from your digital camera or mobile phone should work. Try it, and if it doesn’t work, send us an email to tell us what happened.

Can I burn DVDs?

No. It’s 2012 — You should share your videos with YouTube. You’ll wonder why you bothered with DVDs in the first place.

How do I my use own MP3s in ezvid?

You can’t. For copyright reasons, Ezvid doesn’t accept MP3 or WAV imports. We’ve found that commonly people will use MP3s that they have taken from the internet, and once their video gets uploaded to YouTube, then the video gets taken down and youtube bans the account — because using copyrighted music is against YouTube’s rules. If you’ve actually recorded your own music and you own 100% of the rights to the music which you want to use in your video, then we suggest you try a professional video editor like this or this.

Why can’t I create videos longer than ten minutes?

Most YouTube users can’t upload videos any longer than ten minutes. For this reason, we have chosen to limit the length of videos created in Ezvid. It’s likely that YouTube will extend the default limit to 15 minutes, and then we’ll change Ezvid to match this. By the way, most interesting YouTube videos are less than three minutes.

Why can’t I import my own audio?

Copyright. You can complain to warner and viacom and do your part to support organizations like the electronic frontier foundation.

Can I export a video file like a WMV?

No. Ezvid is totally free software designed for a quick & easy solution for YouTube If you need to export video files, or need advanced features like multiple timeline support, render farming, or advanced visual or 3D FX, we suggest a pro-level video editor like this or this. ;)

The included soundtracks are awesome! Who are they by?

The included music is provided by 009 Sound System and Aalborg Soundtracks.

Ezvid isn’t capturing my voice through my microphone!

On your computer is a program called sound recorder. It comes with Windows. Open up sound recorder, and try to record with your microphone. If it doesn’t work, then there may be a problem with your audio setup. Open up your control panel and look at your sound settings.

Is Ezvid dual-core / quad-core ready?

Yes!

Does Ezvid support 64 bit Windows?

Yes!

What versions of Windows does Ezvid support?

Ezvid supports Windows XP (SP3), Windows Vista, and Windows 7.

Ezvid won’t install on my Windows XP Computer!

It’s possible that you are still on SP1 or SP2. Here’s how you check. Here is how to upgrade to SP3.

Does Ezvid support Linux? Mac OSX?

Not yet. Probably we’ll do an Android version next. If you want to develop our Android version, contact us.

What are the system requirements for running Ezvid?

Any reasonably modern Windows computer should be sufficient.

What about other sites like Vimeo and Facebook?

Vimeo and Facebook support are scheduled for a future release of Ezvid.
