Win 7 Pro 64 bit Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz 3GB RAM
Ran install from a user profile. Install prompted for Admin password as expected. Ran install as Admin, smooth as pie. Program launched when I clicked Close. Program launched as my Admin profile taking me to the Admin's Documents and Pictures folder when selecting media. I closed the program and reopened it and it went to the current users Pictures folder.
Suggestion: Checkbox to launch program (or not) on last install screen. Use 'Finish' instead of 'Close'. Grammar check the install screens. Many missing capitol letters at least.
It does not seem to have created icons to launch the program. No Start menu group or shortcut. No desktop shortcut. Had to go into Program Files (x86) and manually create desktop shortcut.
When I select try to select an image to add, the program crashes. Selecting a 3gp movie tells me it can not upload it and to post to the forum.
I added some text. Then when I stretched it to make it longer a message popped up stating it could not find the songs directory:
Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\EZVid\Songs'.
Clicking OK makes that go away but I get it each time I open the program now.
If I change the song pull down I get an error:
This song is no longer available. Please reinstall ezvid to restore the song.
Clicking OK to this error simply brings the same error up. Even after closing EZVid through Task Manager, I click OK 12 more times before it goes away.
Reinstalled and program launched as admin account after install.
Grammar check YouTube agreement. No capital letters at all. I suggest a 'Do you agree to the above T & C?' or similar question at the end or use 'Agree' and "Disagree' instead of Yes/No
{Logged in as admin] I was then able to quickly add a group of pictures, select a song "Northern Sleep", enter other info and upload to YouTube
The sound didn't make it.
Basically when the program installed as Admin, it seems to have only given permission to the Admin profile. Running the program as a user give the same errors I described above.
It seems that you have helped uncover some serious problems with our installer. We will have that fixed in the next version which is due out this week.
hey i tried to import a m2ts file and ezvid doesn't support that format you should check into adding more compatible formats that would draw more users
Tested out the record voice option, adjusted the slider for the mix, and now the slider is stuck, and will not slide back and forth. Button is gray, and will not highlight upon hover. Just stuck. Also, I just went back in to try and expand the length of my pics to fit the track length, and the arrow that used to show upon hover, to stretch the pictures out, does not show.
Thank you for the bug report lucia! We will get that fixed in a future version. You should still be able to resize the pictures even if the arrow does not show.
The mix slider becomes "read only" or disabled if there is no audio recorded. So for example if you record audio, change the mix, and then clear your audio recordings the mix function will become disabled until you record audio again.
hey, Dan. Just uploaded the 0.6.1.6, and so far so good, until I tried to stop the audio, in midstream. Had to rewind to the beginning with the slider bar to get there, and the pause button finally worked after that. However, I had also noticed that the rewind/forward button did not work midstream, either. Is it meant to? Still, this program is a lot of fun, and I am excited to help test it out!! Keep up the good work, guys. Can't wait to try out the vocal mix. I wish there were more of the 009 trax in there, so we could sing along!!

I saw ezvid ad on YouTube and installed version: 0.6.1.6 just to try it out. My results so far as follows:
exvid had a problem first running from the 'finished installation' click, then when I re-ran ezvid from the desktop icon, it did run. However, when I attempted to add media consisting of 67.1 MB avi which is a 1 minute video file, ezvid stopped working before loading in the avi file and I received the following, etc.
Error message received as follows:
Microsoft Windows ezvid has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. [Close program] Files that help describe the problem: C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\WERBB65.tmp.version.txt C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\WERC796.tmp.appcompat.txt C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\WERCB10.tmp.mdmp
I don't know if I've provided enough information to help anything, or even if it's the correct information you want, but thought I'd post here and give it a shot. Thanks.
I had that error before, but what I did is i cleaned out my temp files folder using ccleaner
This error

that error describes 2 things. First is that you need to check if the installation of your ezvid was not restricted by the UAC of Windows 7 and since you are using a 64bit version of Windows 7, try running it compatible under Windows XP service pack 3.
to do that, find the folder of EZVID and then right click on the main executable file then click on "Properties" under that click on compatibly and manually select Run this Program under Windows XP Mode Compatibility,
i hate ezvid everytime it just said that ( creating an instance of the com component with CLSID {51B4ABF3-748F-4E3B-A276-C828330E926A} from iclass factory failed (ok) ..............................................then i have no choice but to click the stupid ok button then ther is it ,,,nothing???? anyone can help me?
Your problem is basically a .NET Frame handle and a Video Graphics conflict. i suggest you update your Windows via Windows update then try this solution.
Hello Hararo, Dan from ezvid here. Ryanabary is suggesting you update your Windows, which is a good idea. If you use Windows XP visit http://www.windowsupdate.com to do this. If you use Vista or 7, look in your start menu for the Windows Update program.
However, the problem you are having is likely something we can fix but we need some specific information from you first so we can replicate the issue in our labs. We need you to run a program (that is already on your computer) called DirectX Diagnostic Tool.
Please follow these steps: 1. Click Start 2. Click Run 3. Type "dxdiag" with no quotes 4. Press enter 5. When the new window appears titled "DirectX Diagnostic Tool" click the button on bottom labeled "Save All Information..." 6. Save this file to your desktop 7. Email this file to support@ezvid.com
With that file there is a very large chance we can fix your issue for the next release of ezvid which is due out this month.
Thank you for trying the beta and reporting your issue!
