one tip to record great sounding voice with ezvid: use a headset
  • I spent a while messing around with audio in ezvid, and I have one big tip.

It's definitely possible to record your voice through a laptop microphone, or (horror) through a webcam microphone, but its going to sound a lot better it you use a headset microphone.

Here Any of these headsets under $10 are fine: http://goo.gl/HM8XE

    Here is one for $7.70:

A headset like this will just plug into the headphone and microphone ports on your computer.

If you wanted to get really fancy, you could probably also use a USB condenser, but I haven't messed around with that yet.

  • I use the Logitech Clearchat Pro USB headset, it works really well. USB headsets seem to work best in my experience, but they cost a little more. Usually $25.00+

    Good luck everyone!
  • Can you guys insert a "Delete Comment" option for us? I screwed up, as you can see, and can't seem to edit it out. I was going to ask if the type of pics I had chosen would be admissible, as long as they had no watermark.

  • You should be able to edit your post and just erase anything out of there that you don't want in the futre. At the moment we don't have a delete option, but I deleted your post.
    Cheers
  • Hi. I have problems with the volume of the background music. Although I am recording with a headset, setting the music volume to the minimum and seeing that the volume of the voice recording is optimal, the music is too loud. How can this be solved?

    Regards!
  • This is a test I uploaded
  • Paul, two things:

    1. Are you using ezvid 0.7, the newest version from the website?
    2. Have you put the "mix" control all the way to the left, to the "favor speech" position
    3. Have you tried adjusting the microphone recording level in windows? Here's how to do it in windows 7:

  • Is there no way to have a radio button beside the slider that toggles between left being voice or original videos sound? I want to use this program to put together movies from clips recorded from a modified pc game to illustrate the difference between the mod and the original game, and sound is a BIG part of that. The audio plays when I watch the clips separately in a movie viewer, but when I add them I can't slide left to hear it in ezvid.
